Fares and Types
ATM meets all your mobility needs with a wide range of tickets:

Urban tickets, for travels within Milan on the Milan city transport network

Extra-urban tickets, for travels on intercity routes from the greater Milan area to the Milan terminals and vice versa, or for travels between towns in the greater Milan area

Cumulative tickets, for travels on both the Milan city and intercity networks
Fiera Milano tickets, to arrive to Rho exhibition center at Rho Fiera undergournd station
Urban tickets are priced at a flat rate.
Extra-urban and cumulative tickets are priced progressively depending on the distance travelled between the departure point and the final destination.
Tickets should be handled and stored with care.
ATM for Families
Children travel free of charge on ATM vehicles when accompanied by an adult in possession of a valid ticket or travel card:

Children aged 5 and under. Prams and pushchairs may be carried free of charge

Children aged 6 to 10, up to two children.
We remind passengers that children must be in possession of ID as proof of age; children without ID must pay for their ticket.
These discounts are valid on the entire overground citywide network, including the Milan leg of intercity routes, and on the entire ATM underground network.
Urban Tickets
Urban tickets allow you to use all the urban ATM network with the urban leg of the intercity routes, and the urban rail lines of Trenord and the 'Passante Ferroviario' (Urban Railway Network). For the Fiera Milano

Use RIcaricaMi, the rechargeable electronic card that can store various types of tickets.
Urban Ticket - Price: € 1.50 - Validity: 90 minutes after stamping. Valid for a single journey on the underground or rail network, including the urban rail lines of Trenord and the 'Passante Ferroviario' (Urban Railway Network).
Carnet of 10 Standard Tickets - Price: € 13.80 - Validity: 10 journeys 90 minutes each after stamping. Each ticket is valid for a single journey on the underground or rail network, including the urban rail lines of Trenord and the 'Passante Ferroviario' (Urban Railway Network). May not be used simultaneously by more than one passenger.
BI4 4-Journey Integrated Ticket - Price: € 6.00 - Validity: 4 journeys of 90 minutes each after stamping. Each journey may include a single journey on the underground or rail networks, including the urban rail lines of Trenord and the 'Passante Ferroviario' (Urban Railway Network). On ATM routes only, on Sundays and public holidays this ticket is valid for an unlimited number of journeys up to 1 pm if stamped before this time; on evenings until the end of service the ticket is valid for an unlimited number of journeys if stamped after 8 pm.
One Day Ticket - Price: € 4.50 - Validity: 24 hours after stamping.
Two Day Ticket - Price: € 8.25 - Validity: 48 hours after stamping
Weekly 2x6 Pass - Price: € 10.00 - Validity: two 90 minutes a day for 6 days of the same week. Each journey may include a single journey on the underground and rail networks, including the urban rail lines of Trenord and the 'Passante Ferroviario' (Urban Railway Network). The ticket may also be used on Sundays if both journeys for a single day of the week remain unused.
Evening Ticket - Price: € 3.00 - Validity: from 8 pm until the end of service on the day of stamping. The ticket is valid for unlimited travels on the urban adn extra urban ATM network.
Where To Buy Tickets
You can buy ATM tickets at any of the around 2.200 authorized outlets (bars, tobacconists, stationers, newspaper stands) found throughout the Milan area and on intercity routes.
The following tickets are available via the ATM MILANO APP: urban single ticket for 1.50€, urban day pass for 4,50€, Rho Fiera return ticket for 5€, single ticket to or from Rho Fiera for 2.50€ and day pass valid to and from Rho Fiera for 8€.
Sending an SMS with the message ATM to 48444 you can buy the urban ticket for 1.50€ and the Rho Fiera single ticket for 2.50 € (service available only for Tim, Wind, Vodafone, H3G customers).
You can also buy underground tickets at all underground stations from ticket machines selling various types of tickets; these machines accept both coins and bank notes, credits cards and bank cards.

Parking

Congestion Charge - Area C
The access to the historical center of Milan is limited by the Congestion Charge area (Area C) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 7.30 to 19.30, and Thursday from 7.30 to 18. To get into “Area C” you must activate an entrance ticket of 5 euro.
“Area C”, the restricted traffic zone in the center of Milan, is bounded by “Cerchia dei Bastioni”. The access points are 43, including 7 for exclusive use of public transport, and are monitored by cameras.
To enter in “Area C” you must purchase and activate an entrance ticket. The ticket worth 5 euro can be purchased at the parking meters, newsagents, tobacconists, ATM points (Milan Transport Company), at the ATMs of Intesa Sanpaolo, online on this site (www.areac.it) in “Servizi Online” (online services), or calling the call center at the number + 39.02.48684001 and in conventioned garages.
The ticket must be activated no later than midnight of the next day access, by sending an SMS message, calling the Call center, by visiting the website www.areac.it or in the municipal offices. There is an exception for the coupon purchased in garages that must be activated by midnight of the same day in which you made the access.
Motorcycles and scooters, electric vehicles and, until the end of the experimental time, hybrid vehicles, as well as natural gas, LPG and bi-fuel vehicles are exempted from payment. Exemption is also provided for those vehicles transporting people with disabilities, subjected to life-saving treatments or for those who must go the first aid.
During the activation time, the access in “Area C” is forbidden to “Euro 0” petrol vehicles and to “Euro 0, 1, 2, 3” diesel vehicles with a length of more than 7.5 meters.
“Euro 3” diesel vehicles belonging to residents, vehicles for the transportation of goods for public utilities and for the residences and tour buses can access up to the end of the experimental time.
Area C, which coincides with the limited traffic area Cerchia dei Bastioni, has 43 access points electronically monitored by surveillance cameras. 7 out of these 43 access points are limited to public transport vehicles.
The surveillance cameras detect the entering subject and transmit the data collected to a computer which recognizes the vehicles, their classification (residents, duty vehicles, free access ones) and the corresponding due charge.
The access to Area C does not allow the use of fast-track lanes.

Each ticket to enter “Area C” has daily time. The payment of an entrance covers all accesses made by the same vehicle during that day.
There are six types of entrance tickets:

Daily: 5 euro

Daily " resident vehicle": 2 euro (after registration)

Daily " resident vehicle ": 3 euro (after registration)

Daily "service vehicle": 5 euro (only after registration and it can be bought only at the parking meters)

Multiple daily: 30 and 60 euro, with the credit decreasing automatically (for even non-consecutive days)

In the garages of the center participating to the initiative: 13 euro for the coupon “Area C” + 4 hours of parking (not divisible). After the fourth hour, the cost does not exceed 2 euro per hour (even for cars exempted from payment of Area C).

The coupon must be activated the same day or no later than midnight of the next day access. Pay attention, the coupons at a reduced fee, issued by the conventioned garages, must be activated by midnight on the same day that you make the access. Moreover, activating the coupons at the same day, the access will not be charged to those who have active mode Telepass and RID (permanent direct debit)

Bike MI - Bike rental
BikeMi is Milan's Bike Sharing service, a real public bicycle transport system to be used for short trips.
It is an easy, practical and ecological system that helps to improve the quality of the environment and your physical well-being.
The service runs 365 days a year, from 7 am to 1 am. The timetable could be prolonged in spring/summer and on occasion of special events.
It is a sharing public transport system therefore it has to be used by as many people as possible. For this reason the first 30 minutes of each use are free for traditional bikes, while the following minutes are charged according to the arranged rates.
BikeMi is the first example in the world of an integrated Bike sharing system between 3,650 traditional bicycles and 1,000 e-bikes, unique in terms of size, complexity and innovation.
By subscribing to BikeMi you will be able to use both traditional bikes and pedelecs at any of the docking stations. Depending on the type of the bike you choose, only the tariffs conditions change: we invite you to look at them.
HOW CAN I SUBSCRIBE
1 Registering directly on the website ( www.bikemi.com )
Click “Subscribe!” and choose the type of the subscription that suits you between Annual and Occasional (weekly or daily).
Fill the registration form with your personal data and the data of the credit card you’re going to use for payment. If payment is successful, you’ll be registered.
2 Through BikeMi official App (some features are under development)
3 At every ATM points
If you do not have internet access or you can’t download the App, you can go to the most convenient ATM Point. Assistants are available to help you register.

4 Using your mobile phone via the mobile website
You can also subscribe to the service through your cellphone, going to the mobile version of the website.
Using your mobile phone, go to www.bikemi.it access to "Subscribe!" and choose the type of subscription you wish to subscribe between Annual and Occasional (weekly or daily).
If you register for a temporary subscription you will receive via email or sms a user code that, along with your password, you can enter directly on the column’s keypad of any BikeMi station. Press OK at evert entering
The screen of the column will display the number of the slot from which you can take your bicycle. Please remember that your codes are active as soon as you use them for the first time and you have do it within 30 days from purchase.
Tariffs
Subscriptions
Annual € 36.00 - - Weekly € 9.00 -- Daily € 4.50
Maximum consecutive bicycle use is 2 hours.
Service is automatically suspended if you exceed this time limit three times.
A € 150 penalty, besides the estimated supplements, will be charged to your credit card if the bicycle is not returned within 24 hours of its taking from the station.
Another bicycle cannot be picked up until the first is returned and 5 minutes have elapsed since return.

How to control charges
In the Customer Area of this website each subscriber can monitor their uses and charges.
You just need to log in with your User Name and Password.
In the "Historical" section you can see all the uses and costs.
In the "Charges" section you can see the transactions that will be charged, accompanied by a summary document.
As from the 18th of May 2015 each subscriber receives an email for any use. Please keep it as a receipt
